This Dorm's Life

As a first time dorm occupant, I have discovered the problem of having dishes, but no sink in which to wash them in. There is a kitchen in the basement of the building- the problem is it is 4 floors down from my room. It is stupid to walk down there to wash just one bowl and spoon, but it is just as difficult to go down there with three bowls, a plate, cups, etc... you get the picture. The communal bathroom on my floor also has a large kitchen-looking sink. Am I allowed to wash my dishes there? I hope so, because I have. I also had a very Kramer-genius moment yesterday. Why not wash my dishes in the shower so that I can kill two birds with one stone!!! It worked pretty well, I have a "shower basket" where I place my shampoo, conditioner, razor, body wash & puff, but there is extra room. Just the right amount of room for three bowls and all my plastic forks and spoons- though now I'm sure that anyone who visits me will not want to eat off or out my bowls.

Actually, now that I think of it, this just makes me sound really lazy- and yet genius.

Dorm life sounds a lot like barracks life. Sorry I haven't called. It's been busy with the vacation and all of that. Next week I will return to normal I hope.
