What is happening in Burma

Also, if anyone is interested in more information about Burma/Myanmar, let me know- my education should be put to use. Also I just read the Amy Tan novel "Saving Fish From Drowning" and most of it takes place in Burma. Not my favorite novel of her's but it's deals with some of what is going on in Burma.
